Emirates to visit KL and Brunei

Emirates Airline is a dynamic, multicultural organization with ambitious growth plans and a strong record of profitable growth. Due to our rapidly expanding fleet of Airbus A330/A340 and Boeing 777 aircraft, including orders of 58 Airbus A380s, 57 Boeing 777s and 120 Airbus A350s, we are recruiting experienced and technically proficient First Officers to fly our extensive international route network and progress their careers to Captain. Some opportunities also exist for highly experienced Direct Entry Captains onto our Boeing 777 fleet.

Emirates will be conducting information sessions in Malaysia and Brunei in March 2008. These sessions will provide more information on Emirates, our selection programme, the benefits of living and working in Dubai and details of our remuneration package. We will be able to review your experience and, if our criteria are met, an invitation to attend a full selection programme in Dubai may be extended (travel fully funded).

Please note that the sessions will begin sharply at the respective times and spouses are welcome to attend.

Cat and pigeons involved here.

Mrats coming into SQ’s hunting grounds! Next there will be confirmation of those new conditions at Korean. Jet* and VOz may have to up the ante if they want some of these guys.

Guys are having to review their interview dates and some have decided to put a pause on sending the acceptance letter.

Four legged, ground grubbing, animals in a strawberry patch. Those that stay might even get some strawberry compote (until the airline folds).

BOPralph, what a riot! Your post had me laughing my head off. I wish I knew who you are I would buy you a stiff drink, or orange juice as the case may be.

Thank you.

RBA's move ....

If RBA have their wits about them they'll reciprocate the process under the noses of Emirates in Dubai. Whilst RBA may loose low time F/Os intent on a career it may gain high time (= experienced) Capt's intent on chilling out in their last few years with 57 days leave, nil tax, genuinely pleasant locals, relatively large house / amah and easy / cheap / regular travel to Oz, only 6+hrs / minimal time zone change away. And a very laid back place to live.
This one could play into their hands if they got their act together.
Like I say though, not a career move, rather a winding down type one.

So - who was there?

Any truth that only two expats turned up and were given an informal presentation over lunch and a bottle of wine (or was it 2)?

I believe a few (local) prospects got late, but unforeseeable, changes to their schedule.
