Age sixty five in China!
There is no expiry date on a Chinese licence so you can get one at any age, in theory. In practice you will not get one over 60 unless you have a previous track record of flying in China.

An add published a couple of days ago referenced to China DEC captains for the B744 up to age 65! I thought they previously copied the FAA and thus migh have changed

Most ads still put 55/56 as max age to start in China -surely this has to change ? Mind you , I always said that Japan would eventually have to stop their ridculous requirement to spend 5 months in a Tokyo classroom validating your 'Western' licence , but I was wrong !! I spurned an offer from ANC because of that requirement . Life is too short , well it is at my age !!

expediency is everything!
If there is a need for something (like Pilots) the requirements will be "adjusted" until the gap is filled.
on the flip side, if the supply exceeds the demand there is no stopping the decline in the T's & C's
I suppose that's right around the corner, as is usual in aviation!
