Airline job in India for me?

I've been speaking to a few folks recently who've given me statistics for the aviation industry in India. Shortly followed by "1/3 pilots in India are expats" and that "the money is a lot better than UK/US" - and it's tax free.

Well, after hearing all this it has got me thinking. My credentials are as follows:

1550TT, 350 Multi, 250 Jet, Current US (121) EMB-145 First Officer, I have a little Citation I/II SIC time. I have a UK Passport. I DO NOT have a JAA or DGCA ticket.

Based on all this information, would an airline in India be willing to pick up this expat? I'd be very willing to take a position offered to me over there, and with all good that I've heard, I'd leave the US industry in a heartbeat.

Could someone please advise me of airlines (names please) that I should contact. Some of the airline websites I've visited have been a little vague about the expat procedure (if one exists).

Thanks.

You don't need a DGCA license you can fly on you FAA license for one year. Most of this overseas jobs goes through agencies. Below is the adress of few:

http://www.aeroprofessional.com

http://www.sigmaraviation.com/

http://www.aeropersonnel.com/

http://www.rishworthaviation.com

And there are more!!!! You need to register and send your CV to them. The only airline in India that operates EMB airplanes is paramount airways. You need to have a type rating, or SIC might be ok. Don't know!! you could also try to send your CV to paramount airways through their website.

Good Luck

Note- you fly the EMB145 and Paramount is recruiting for the E170 (different type obviously).

A couple of CRJ operators are recruiting over there... If you had CL-65 type and 200 hrs in it you would be golden. PM me if you want more info. I am looking at moving to India for the CRJ.
