Kingfisher TRE/IRE
Hello is there anyone out there that could give me a good rundown on a TRE/IRE position with Kingfisher?
I would like to know the breakdown of flying, simulator details, time out of India for simulator.
Where would one be most likely based?
Living and schooling in India?
Accommodation, standard and cost?
Stability of ones roster?
Approximate flying hours per month?
Contact details other other expatriate Captains with KF.
Any other information would be much appreciated.
Happy New Year.

I would like to know the breakdown of flying, simulator details, time out of India for simulator.
what do you mean by break down of flying.............most of contracts are 10 weeks on and 2 off, &/or 22 on 4 off, depends on the broker/agency, flying time also depends onthe plane (ATR or Aribus), there are just a few ATRīs now, more coming next year, if your ATR simulator is BKK unless your country does not aprove that facility, which is very rare case, if not maybe UAE (for A320) or europe, & most of times its very short time for that, its like hoping in and out of the place, doing sim & then out of there
Where would one be most likely based?
again depends on type, some ATR new capt, are getting bangalore momentarely and then maybe sent to HYD or chennai or even kolkatta, dependeing on what company decides at the very last minute, nothing sure
Living and schooling in India?
people very friendly, easy going, everything takes time, no rush.............REALX!!!!, living its very cheap, restaurants are good, hotel food ok, some malls also ok, its very very polluted air, and super noisy on the streets (((((((HORNS)))))))) honking all the time CRAZY!, scholling, i personally dont know but the ones who have kids say its ok , even the kids like it, they even learn indi very quick
Accommodation, standard and cost?
hotel are ok, you dont pay, and if you want to get out, normaly the agency or the airline gives you 1000 or 1200 for you to find and pay your condo or house, yo can find som very very nice between 1000 & 1500, a maid 6 days a week tops, 3000 rupees, cable 300r, internet hispeed 1500r, cigarrettes & alcohol not includede he he he he
Stability of ones roster?
roster its almost a daily basis, have your cellphone on to know what you do the next day
Approximate flying hours per month?
fluctuates, & also depends on type, but nobody goes over limit, like not more than 6 days consecutive flying, or 30 hors in 1 week, blablabla
Contact details other other expatriate Captains with KF
that its up to you , as days go by , youll get to know more and more people, dont worry , theres plenty of expats there, from all the airlines

Thanks for the information. A320 is the A/C I would be flying.
By breakdown I mean how many hours per month flying and how many in the simulator as an instructor.
Contacts with KF pilots I mean now prior to arriving in India to check things out.
Thanks again for your information.
