Belgian in Thailand looking for pilot training...

Hello guys,

i'm a 25 yo Belgian who's now in Thailand due to a relationship with a Thai national. I've been directed to this forum by an ex pilot and been told that there are some possibilities for me to become a pilot?!

Reason for not doing it in Belgium is because I don't have the funds...

Anyone have information for me please?

Are you looking for PPL training? If so, then the Chiang Mai flying club is a good place to start. Their airfield is located in Lamphun but they do (at least did a few years ago) have an office opposite Golf driving range near Robinsons Shopping Centre. Anyway, check out their website for further info. There's also Lana Flying Club in Chiang Mai although I don't know too much about it.
If you're looking for CPL pilot training, there's a private flying school in Bangkok. I believe there's another one starting as well sometime next year. Ask them first what the job prospects are like for low time foreigners before you start spending big bucks but I really don't like your chances.
Good luck!

You said you are not doing it in Belgium because you don't have the funds...
So what do you expect in Thailand?
Cheap flight training??
Cheapest place in the world: the US,
That is if TSA wants you!
