Don't think so...haven't heard anything of it here.
There were two (or three) newly hired guys who failed the sim training during their initial course, so were consequently not hired. Perhaps it was this case?

Yes true some guys got send home from the B744 and B777 intakes. Training is not easy in Korea and it is a high risk to give up a job elsewhere just for the sake of comming there. It goes backwards to a personality check if you fit in the system and not if you are a hell of a good pilot. If you are flying too good somebody get`s jealous maybe and you are history there. Dangerous place to go high risk as introduction in the company is not the usual way how you would expect it.
