AIR INDIA recruiting non pilots and providing overseas training.

Is this true.

Can anyone confirm this for me.

Heard this is because of shortage of pilots..

Righto....Here We Go Again !!

Aussie Mavrick or whatever...... here goes.....

As mentioned earlier and understood you are new to the game and one of the most important thing you have to learn in Aviation especially in India is,

DO NOT TRUST THE MEDIA

Am not relating to your particular question, but in general you'll hear all sorts of quotes like these all over the media, DO A SEARCH and see what information is available on the topic and Do let us know if you find anything interesting. Perhaps my news update is not up to mark but I haven't seen anything official with regards this.

Where are Left Wing , Haree
Just trying to help out fellas' ....seemed like you people have been busy the kid

Kanak, you got the right information!

AI is planning to start this program by early next year. They are still working on this plan and it is yet to be advertised. The plan is to take 100/200 candidates 'with technical degrees' for further training!
I am sure soon more airlines would come up with such plans. Jet and Indigo already started Ab Initio plans.

Hope this would help!

Good Luck!

ATPL IN UAE

Fujairah has just renamed itself as Fujairah Aviation Academy, and has tied up with Cabair of the UK, and is offering JAA ATPL course and the new GCAA (Emirates) ATPL which is totally based on the European Syllabus, in order to comply with GCAA's wish to become fully compliant with JAA in the coming years. The Academy is re-equipping with Diamond Aircraft both the Twinstar and the DA40 single, all full IFR equipped, plus Diamond FNPT II sims. They also have a dedicated ATP groundschool with European Instructors, that combined with their own 12000 foot Runway, and free Airspace makes it extremely attractive for flight training, good prices and fairly cheap cost of living, and I believe that all accomodation, food and Visas are included in their package.

Spoke to them this week and their website has yet to be changed, but probably worth a call. Having the JAA tie up with Cabair is probably a big plus, and the School is also Indian DGCA approved. their number is +97192224747
