Conversion of FAA licenses in India -- Medical

If one has an eyesight of -3.75 (20/20 with glasses/contacts) will the Govt. of India still allow conversion of licenses?

That is only your Rx.

Buddy,

That is not your eyesight but merely your prescription. If you do not know your eyesight (ie. 20/100, 20/200, etc.) then just check the back of the FAA medical form that the FAA medical examiner completed. If you do not have it then you can always get a free copy from Ok City. You can also ask a local practitioner to let you read an eye chart and give you the details.

Good luck!

What the visual acuity(uncorrected) standards for an Indian class I medical?
Is there also a limit on the prescription strength? Is LASIK acceptable?

Hiya!
Indian standards are available 'somewhere' on the net. While searching something else, I happen to visit their site. But now I am unable to find it!
Try to Google it! It is a Pdf document on a army related website!
I am sorry for not being able to offer any more information. I would get back if I find the link!

Good Luck!

LASIK is a void as per DGCA Source, they dont have set norms.. they deal is "Case by Case" basis or watever... although some airlines have banned candidates with LASIK done.
