SIA Requirments

Hello all,

I was looking through the SIA website and they don't give much away regarding hours/experiance levels etc, that are required for entry as a F/o.

Could anyone shed any light on this subject? Are they recruiting? Does anyone have anything pos/neg to say about them?

I have 1000TT with 860 emb 145. Whats the chances?

thanks

chances look pretty slim .. i know of a guy with slightly more TT than you .. had to start from SIA's Advanced training stage (Learjet45) ...
but give it a shot anyway !

Are you a Singapore/Malaysia citizen? If not, your chances for SIA are about zero!

You might want to look at SIA Cargo, but I think you are below their requirements.

your nationality does not matter (in most cases), as long as you can satisfy their TT requirements, or just under.
cheers

Hi guys... i'm thinking of applying as a cadet pilot and am gonna finish my degree by the end of this year. Just like to find out some things.

1. Is there an age limit for applying to be a pilot?
2. How long before they call u for an interview?
3. Are there any important things to note when applying?

Thanks guys.

Cheers

If you had bothered to go to the SIA web site and looked you would have found the above link.
If you can't show a bit of initiative then you are wasting your time (and mine)

Well done faheel.

Some people just can't manage 11 keystrokes (including the Enter key) for google.com and then a further 17 keystrokes (including the Enter key) for (for example) pprune sia cadet.

I had thought that initiative had been bred out of certain young Singaporean wannabes. Perhaps there is something in our water.

But now foreigners seem to be afflicted with this disease too.

Please pals, thanks for the links which I knew for already.Any dumb a*s can bring up SIA's site.
Now where does it mention anything about experience requirements for DFO not cadet?????How many keyboard strokes again?
I thought that this was the original post, Direct entry FO.
If I didnt have initiative I would not be flying at all so lets not go down that road about initiative.

Thanks for your help!

Since you have time to post an ungrateful reply to a hint / example (can you see the words "for example", meant for mike79?) on how to use Google, looks like you need a lesson in how to select words to be used as search criteria.

Try "SIA direct entry FO pprune". Copy and paste those words (without the ") into the Google searchbar and see what you get.

How about www.siacargo.com?

Other than that there are no DEFOs! Next time do a search and save everyone a lot of trouble.

Perhaps you should re-read my post. There are no DEFO on mainline! Try doing a search for that.....it's been posted numerous times.
