Where to from here?

Gidday all,

I am a 41 year old pilot from Oz with around 5600 hours, most muti-crew turboprop with about 3500 command. Anyone have any suggestions of what airlines in Asia might be interested in my skills? I am quite keen to try the commuting lifestyle and would be willing to give anything ago.
I have tried Cathay, MAS, Singapore and Dragonair with not muck luck so far, have managed to get 1 interview, but most have said that I am either to old or can't look at me without jet time.

I recently did some Airbus sim time in preperation for an interview and the very experienced (24,000 hrs) sim instructor was impressed with my skills. So I can do it!

Any suggestions?

Cheers, HH.

try parc aviation or HCAS on those Q400 Captain or FO contracts. Eva is also looking for FO on the MD11 with turboprop hours but I dont remember the age requirements.

Hi HH,

Looks like you are about ready to leave the land of Oz like I did.
For whatever reason you're packing your bags and moving up here, good luck. Check you PM. Hope this helps too.

You can also try Air Macau, although it is not good compare with EVA Air, they hire the pilot without jet experience.

The requirement of their A320 FO :
Possess a valid ICAO CPL License;
Minimum 500 flying hours including 300 hours JAR25 aircraft experience;
Preference will be given to those with jet experience and/or who are A320 qualified.
