Regarding "0" level subjects

I thank you for the information you have provided above. I meet all the requirements for the "O" subjects (5 subjects, taken at one sitting...etc etc). Currently, I am still persuing a degree in one of the local universities in Singapore. The thing is, I did combined sciences and it was just Chemistry/Biology. The pre-requites stated "Prefebly physics" and i am wondering if you know any cadets with my situation who have made it through or even short-listed for the first interview if they do not have any physics background. Do enlightened me, thanks much

I've read about many other guys whom have made it through the interview with combined science and not just pure physics subject alone. So not to worry, the worry now is they aren't even hiring.

Degree

Yeah they're not hiring right now. I read on captainlim's website that pilot jobs are cyclical. Guess SIA dont need pilots right now cause they either have a surplus or their company is not doing so well. I'm graduating in 3 years time so I really hope they need new cadets by then (fingers cross). Thx for the reply, this site has alot of awesome stuff. One more question, I heard that 3/4 of all SIA cadets have engineering degrees. I'm not doing an engineering in university, that does put me at a disadvantage no?

Not having an Engineering degree does not put you at an disadvantage. We have cadet pilots from various disciplines. What is most important is having the right attitude. So long as you do your homework before attending the interview, and have the right attitude, you'll be a fine pilot.
