Good luck for anyone that applies for those 747-200's with Transmile.

They will bond you and your first child so you dont leave after 12 months for a real airline.

Want to fly a real airline? Stay away from these tossers!!!

Nothing but bad news for aviation in general...

Damn it's good to be BACK!!!

Any outfit that is hiring pilots should be commended, how it is run is another story. And as for the bonding, it is normal practice for non rated pilots to be bonded if the company pays for your rating. There was an airline that bonded you and increase the quantum the longer you serve. Now, that's a classic!

Camelbird thanks for telling us what we all already know about bonding. I'm talking about having to fork OUT money to pay for the bond...with a LONGER list of conditions.

Hell why not just fly for free...we all need jet hours dont we?

Of course we all know what a Bond is!. But what it implies is sometimes abit confusing. If you break your bond before it expires, then you have to pay!!! The earlier you break your bond the more you have to pay.
This is normal, if not finish the tenure and walk away debt free.

I for one do not advocate working for free, even if you need your hours.

Camelbird Transmile ask you to PUT down a cash deposit... 747 could be a deposit of around $50 000RM...

Good luck to anyone that applies!!!

The latest rumour is the air farts are getting a B747SP...for what...the hell do I know. Probably the air farts figure "Special Peformance" so maybe they think the plan can carry 90++++ Tonnes from HKG to LAX direct....beats me...but as long as they dont know how to spell the word P-L-A-N, they will always be the air farts they are!!

The beautiful last tri-jet can't take 90 tonnes from HKG to LAX direct...that's why they gotta go to ANC in the first place. Depending on the weather condition for that day, we could usually take only 77 to 78 tonnes. However our smart ex-COO aka Tan Sotong tells everyone that we could take 79+ tonnes easily to ANC from HKG direct and so the big G listens to him....not like we have the greatest flight plan...Transmile...always want cheap cheap but the best! Here's a guy who also said and I quote, "oh yeah..747...easy....just 1 more engine than 727...no problem lah!!!!"

The latest rumour is 2X AAI Classic 747s for wet lease and Transmile will actually hunt for 2X 747-300 as freighters. They are still eyeing on the 4x Thai MD-11s.
