JCAB conversion - help

Hi,
I have an JAR licence and I live in Japan (unemployment). I want to get the JCAB conversion bymyself, I wonder about what kind of test I will have to go through...I know there will be this draconian JCAB medical, and maybe an Airlaw test??? (somethings else?) Does anyone of you, has already gone throught all of that? and could give me more details. Of what I heard, the airlaw test is (and only?) in Kanji (japanese characters).
Also I would be glad to hear of the foreigns captains working for a japanese company, How did they get that JCAB conversion (with the company's help)...Did they do the AirLaw exam in japanese! (I don't think so...)...?

I would be glad to be in touch with any pilots living in Japan, or for a japanese company. I live in Sapporo. Then feel free to write me!
Thank
jerome
