Depends on what you like. If you like flying to only LAX, EWR about twice a month, then it's not bad. To tell you the truth, after talking with the 345 guys in LAX, I wouldn't like that kind of flying. But, that's my own personal preference.
Rumour has it that they will require more crews IF they decide to keep the aircraft. That is the 64,000 dollar question right now. The A345 guys do it because they like the life style (lots of time off) and the money is good. Depends on what you are looking for I guess.

Hello Guys,
I have seen the SIA advert in "flight" for a while now. I am currently qualified on A343, employed as Capt on an island in the sun and am considering a move also. Could anyone give me more info on the total package.
Basic S$9300
Meal Allow. S$1500 (any minimum figures? is this average accurate?)
Flying allow. (average?, minimum?)
Transport S$29 (per trip = x2, x3, x4?)
Profit sharing?
Are in-laws entitled to rebated travel?
Is the housing allowance (S$3100)sufficient for a decent 3 bedroom condo?
Is the school allowance sufficient for expat(french)school?
Thank you for any help

ps how long does it take from the application to be hired ?
