Terryble

Hi Terryble,

By attending the talk, did they call you up for interview shortly after?

Thank you for sharing.

I just arrived back in Spore at 7am (11 Dec) this morning from Joburg. Just saw the career talk and sent in my application. Hope they will entertain my late registration (dateline is 10 Dec).

Just got an email from SIA that a slot has been reserved for me for the career talk. Though not even an interview to be a pilot, I am still very happy to go have a look at the training facilities. Can't wait for Friday.

Hello predator79,

Wish to say that i have been through the interview some how. No, i've not been called up for an interview yet. I'll just have to keep on waiting.

I see the talk this friday as a chance to further affirm my decision to pursue the career as a cadet pilot with SIA. To get to know more about this career and hopefully, get to know more about their selection process.

Waiting for friday...

sunnyday... i doubt they only target the undergrads... whoever are attending tomorrow stands a chance to be called up for their interviews.. unless of course the he/she doesn't fake their requirement...

KuchingHitam...

My only suggestion is to never quit trying. Flying is a dream for many. For me, it's a dream come true. But it hasn't exactly been a smooth sailing journey to where I am now. And that makes things all the more sweet in the end.

There are moments when you will be let down, you will fall short, or you will have your self esteem hammered to bits and you'll feel like you're hitting rock bottom.

Apply again for the cadet interview (not just the career talk). If you get rejected in the first round, try again. If that doesn't work, try other airlines too like MAS. And as a last resort, take flying lessons. I guess that's what seperates the true passionate aviators from those who are in it for the money. If flying is your thing, then keep going at it.

Watever it is, try not to let rejection from an airline affect your self-esteem. Flying is more than just airlines and jets. It's a myriad of other things as well....
