Just wondering if any one out there has recently done a Sing Cargo interview for a Command position?
Trying to find out what they are asking.. Whether technical or not.. and also the profile for the sim.
Thanks

salary
Hi guys and gals,
Just a question regarding SIA Cargo First Officer's salary.
From their website, it's Basic 5,600 and Allowances 5,700 SGD therefore total is 11,300 SGD.
Now what we all would like to know is how many hours would one need to fly in order to get that 11,300 a month salary?
How much flying a month and how much paxing is there on the Cargo?
Thanks guys and gals.

Mr Shi,
Flying allowance is 36 SGD per hour and meal allowances is 8 SGD from chocks off to chocks on.
Average flying hours per month is 55. That equates to 1980 SGD
Meal allowances will average 3000 to 3500 SGD
Sometimes you can expect to position more than you fly and you dont get any positioning allowance.

Requirements
Has anyone got in without type rating recently?
Interested to know what experience levels of successful candidates have been recently.
Quite keen on pursuing this but not sure my qualifications will be enough.
Can you transfer to pax fleet at later date?
Thanks to anyone who can help

Its not really a "meal" allowance but i guess it is meant to cover the same thing. its a flat rate out of base allowance that starts from reporting time in SG to 1/2 hour after chocks on in SG.
To get 11300, you gonna have to really work your butt off!!
but 50-60 hours seems to be about average...
Bogan, from what i gather, most of the direct entry guys don't have the rating. In fact, quite a lot of them are 737/767 background, so getting probably won't depend on that one factor too much.
As for transfering to the pax fleet, the only glint of hope in that is the clause in the contract that says something to the effect of the company can at its discretion, move you around where it sees fit.
cheers y'all

Hi guys
If you think you'll get 55-60 hrs a month so my congratulations.Of course together with positioning(near 100% patterns starts or terminating by positioning mostly strats and terminating)
I can see that average a month is around 35-40 hrs.If I got promissed 7000 s$ flying allowance a month I'd be very happy.
