India Expat Pilot Taxation

With all the opportunities in India opening up in the near future it would be interesting to know how expat pilots are taxed. Any comments from those already working there? Thanks OWT

There are plenty of loopholes, talk to the airlines accounts dept. they are always looking out for the best option. Indians are great at tax "MANAGMENT"

No, if there telling you it's tax free it means their probably getting around it. Maybe their paying you in foreign currency in a foreign account, or their telling you the net sum you'll be paid.

better make sure you have a contract that says your tax is paid though, just in case your home tax office gives you a call.
