Well I guess it was only a matter of time before it happened....
When will DCA do something about MFA or is Kokshaft STILL lining their pockets so they look the other way?

The Piper suffered engine failure shortly after take-off from the Batu Berendam airport and Raj was forced to crash land behind a hawker centre close to the MBMB wholesale market here at about 9.15am

Longlatif, that's a big accusation to make. Have you tried the ACA? Or do you think they're corrupt too?
Or are you one of those people who hide behind the computer using the Internet for self assurance.
Anyway, the student pilot did a good job. Well done. These are the times one's training becomes useful and he has been trained well.

well, i agree with longlatif. the bastard kokshove was prolly waiting for it to crash so he could get some cash from the insurance, calling the plane a write off.
anyhoo.. at least now they've got some spare radios and stuff..
and yes, i also do agree that the student did a good job. must of been a nightmare. although, i wonder if he checked his t's and p's on take off, and stuff.
i also wonder if he managed to do the crash checks ie: the Red Silver Red Red checks hehehehe..
ah... the memories.

Chrome at least I use my REAL name on this site.
The good thing about the truth is you don't NEED to hide it... It always comes out sooner or later...
CAV-NOT-OK you're right on the money! India will be used for parts...

Was the airplane involved a Piper Cadet PA28-161, registration 9M-SKI?
That would be sad. I did my First Solo flight on that airplane many years ago.
I remember practising the EFATOs ...."Academy #^ Fanstop!" followed by "Academy #% Climbing Away!".
Good on Raj!

the plane that crashed was 9M-SKI.
well. .. i flew that plane lots... although it was a bit of a misfit in the bunch, with the different panels and such.
but alas, she has left us for that big junkyard in the sky

Too bad about "India". There weren't many planes those days - we had:
Kilo Alpha (lost on Gunung Pulai I believe)
Kilo Delta
Kilo Charlie (wrecked on WMKM - still sitting at the entrance to the Academy)
Kilo Echo
Kilo Foxtrot
Kilo Hotel
Kilo India
Kilo Golf
and Kilo Sierra Kilo
All to share amongst 70 odd trainees!
Brings back memories though when I saw the picture you posted. I know the photographer....."Hi Guys"

alpha, - down
bravo... no bravo
charlie - down
delta - down
echo - at least this one is still alive
foxtrot is still alive also.
golf - down
hotel - down
india - down
juliet - none
kilo siera kilo (KSK) - down
kilo (SKK)- next in line
well flyfishin... when where you there?
they've got two new (second hand actually) twin aircraft.. skl and skk.
pretty nice those 2... electric flap.. not like romeo and victor, where you needed real bisep strength to lower the flap.
