Air Japan/ANA Interview Gouge

Hello everyone,

I might be interviewing for the Air Japan 767 FO position in a few more weeks and was hoping for some first hand knowledge about the interview in Tokyo. I was told it was a three day interview with medical exam and simulator check. Is there a technical interview? And if so, what type of questions?

Well, the first one is "Do you have any initiative?"

This question (or similar) has been raised so many times here, that this Far East Forum is bearing a glaring similarity to the movie Ground Hog Day.

If you think you're going to be able to work (and live) in Japan, BBB, then you'd better start showing some initiative, instead of wanting to be spoon fed.

Thank you Kaptin M, I have read several of your posts and you seem to know a lot about Air Japan. To answer your question, I think I am taking the initiative from all angles to prepare for this interview. I am studying everything that I think will be appropriate. I also have made several email friends that are assisting me in my preparations. Also, I am looking for cheap B767 sim prep. However, I am still trying to get more information to feel better prepared. I have seen several similar posts as mine on this forum, but surprisingly no one has offered as detailed answers as other airlines get, for example Cathay or Emirates. Could you provide any insite to the Air Japan interview in Tokyo? Thank you very much for your assistance.

This should keep you busy for a whileAir Japan search .......and if you really DO have a bbb, then it will be in your best interest to try to reduce it.
They have a BMI (Body Mass Index - wt vs ht) that they are quite strict on.
