hello about ur application
hello i m from malaysia. actually i dun own any hours of flying but i m appliying for MAS pilot .Anyway i seen MAS is recruiting those who hav finish their flying course. Or maybe u can try Air asia in malaysia. If ur interest is in flying and does not matter in money u earn than u may apply for malaysia's airlines. you can try SIA as well. But me as a malaysian i prefer to work for my country airline that is malaysia airlines. Coz this company is well established and have more experience!Have a try!!

Hey Lil' Pilot,
There was an ad out in The Star about month and a half ago. By talking about ab initios training im asuming that your talking about no experience at all. They were taking in cadets ie ab initio pilots.
I put in an application myself but i have not heard anything since. So just keep a lookout in the papers.
Cheers.

Thanks for your reply susheel.
Do they also accept non Malaysian citizens? Because according their website that's one of the requirements. Of course I could always try, but I was wondering if that's the case. And you maybe know if the ab initio's are hired as First Officers, or maybe CRP's? (don't know if MAS has crp's)
Thanks in advance,
Lil'

The MAS Cadet pilot program is open to only locals. Undoubtabtably If KLM or similar do the same they they probably wouldnt take a Malaysian.
MAS have been advertising for crew on the FI website but my understanding is they are looking for experienced crew preferably on type.
Regards,

Hey Lil' Pilot,
Yup, they only recruit malaysians for the Cadet line. To my understanding, after training the cadet goes on as a Second Officer but in a co-pilots capacity...ie right hand seat after type rating and endorsements till he gets the FATPL un-frozen then she/he gets the 3 bars.
cheers
