Korean Air to Urumqi - why not 737?

KE will become the first major foreign airline to serve the capital of China's western most Xinjiang province with scheduled flights, from June 4th 2 x weekly A330-200.

Is there enough demand for this large aircraft, why cant they use a 737-800/900 on this service?
