No time in type - no way to get a job in Asia?
After reading many threads here, my burning question is still unanswered:
How can I get a job with an FAA ATP and 1600 hours in Asia? Does anybody have an idea? I fly DC-3's right now, but those aren't that popular anywhere anymore. Without time in type, is there no chance at all?
Do I have to get myself hired in the West, get time in type and then apply? Isn't there another way working my way up in Asia as a foreigner?
I mean, I don't have the 500 hours in an Airbus. Does that mean I cannot participate in the Asia craze and have to watch all the jobs be filled by cadets???
I want to move to Asia really bad....maybe Vietnam, China, Thailand....
Any ideas?
