Need some advise for training.

Hi there to all!

I would greatly appreciate any advise from anyone w.r.t to my pilot trg.

The thing is that I initially had the intention of joining MFA and undertake their CPL/IR with ATPL prog. However, I can't help noticing some remarks which in a way had undermine my confidence in the school. Please understand I am not in ANY way trying to speak ill of MFA, its only that the trg cost is very high and I don't wish to make a mistake and regret later.

Alternatively, I noted that Singapore Flying College do have intake for Private Student but there is no further details on their website. I had emailed to them but till date have not receive any replies on my query.

BTW, I had applied for cadetship for SQ but I was unsuccessful.

I greatly appreciate for any advise given.

Thank you.

As far as I know now, Singapore Flying College does offer a frozen ATPL course, where you sit for classes lasting approximately 6 months and undertake the frozen ATPL at the end of it. Course fees do not include the exam fees, think it's about S$5,000 for the course and another S$2,000 for the exam fees, not very sure about the course fees, but definitely the exam fees will cost about 2k.

The course does NOT include ANY flying training.

CPL/IR

Well, I am actually training with Singapore Flying College for my CPL/IR, and though they seem to offer the course to private students, I have yet to see any private student here.

At present, all the cadets here are sponsored by the respective airlines, I suspect it would be some time before they really open the college up for private students.

Check your PM.
LATC website is "www.langkawiaerospace.com" but maybe not yet operational.
