Well...to sum it up,long days ahead my friend. The COPs are mostly quite long.7-16 days pattern. You'll be all over the world. You get the ocassional short hops to regional station but due to the nature of the business, you might end up somewhere else.Promotion for capt at the moment...nothing mentioned.Although they said they gonna setup their own flight ops, meaning cmd trng as well.Dont hold ur breath though.Money not so bad if you're from Asia.Leavin in Spore...no drama.Should be able to adjust.

At the moment you'll have to join the queue.Minimum you need at least 5000 hrs and 5 years of service in SIA or Cargo. It applies to everybody. No matter how many hours you have.I'm not sure abt the future but they're lookin seriously at their own flt ops when they have enough people. The problem is nobody wants to come...

What are the requirements for DEC 's and do they offer Toronto or anywhere in Canada as a base. Would appreciate the package being offered.

Hi there...

I'm not sure about the requirement for DEC but the information is readily available on SQ cargo website with the package offered. As for the overseas base...at the moment, there is no intention to do so but that was also said about SQ long time ago. Now they have bases in London, Brisbane, Perth etc. Not sure about state side though. SQ cargo is growing rapidly and who knows what's ahead.

Since they don't pay crew while paxing around the world I don't think there will be overseas bases anytime soon.
