I have basic hours and no type rating!
Maybe this changes the difficulty of the interview lah???
Even if the description is an outline of the interview that would be great!

From what I hear, be prepared for the sim ride - most new commers with low hours aren't passing.

Anyone able to confirm a large order of (maybe 80+) Airbus A320 series aircraft to replace the 737 fleet for Air Asia ?

Arrow

Air Asia are looking to order up to 80 aircraft to meet future growth needs. Deciding between good offers from Airbus and Boeing. Both are providing deals for the Airbus models or NG's. Announcement will be made soon on choice of aircraft.

On average first officers take home about 6'500 MYR per month after Tax... It is not much, but Air Asia picks up the type rating bill... which is nice!!!

As for the FAA licence... Malaysian DCA are in line with the British CAA, other words JAR. FAA licenses aren't favoured without hours of experience!!! You still gotta try, or you will never really know.

A bit of a tip from my days of job hunting... Ain't gonna hurt to ask!!!

GOOD LUCK and keep plugging away!

About the frasca sim.. in Malaysia only one to my knowledge: MFA
It cannot be named a simulator because it does not reflect the handling of a real aircraft. In Europe, it is classified as a "Link Trainer".
