Thumbs up Shenzhen Airlines info wanted

I need some info about the contracts (B737) with Shenzhen Airlines, especially from F/O's who are / have been there. Not the usual '****ty airline' or 'stay away from them'. Hard facts only please.

just about every contract company is looking for both capts and f/o's for them. so you can a precis from them as regard t&c's. from what i've heard from guys who have been for a look, i think your comments on what you don't want to hear sum them up.

Hereiam I believe if you come to Shenzhen Airlines you would be "vanguard" expat F/O's as I haven't heard of any around although there maybe.

I was talking to an expat Capt. who is with them recently, believe his package is USD7000 per month. You have to provide your own accomodation. Transport to/from work by company.

One downer at present is apparently no specified roster, basically you are on call all the time, with little notice to get to work. Believe this will change to formal rostering in time.

You would no doubt be paired with Local English speaking Capt's otherwise you wouldn't know what is going on unless the voices eminating from Chinese a/c are English as all comms are normally in Chinese. When English is used controllers switch to English.

lfs.

As far as I can recall, they do not need FOs as one of my colleagues have apllied. If that has changed that I suggest u apply to Hainan Airlines instead. I have read Shenzen Airlines'
contract some time back and it was full of crap.

I have heard that it is not a place for FOs to be. Regarding Captains its OK but it very much depends on which Agency you go with. If you go with the Agency that sits back and lets the crap happen then forget it. If you go for one that will stick up for their pilots then I`ve heard its OK. I do know who the good and the bad are but Moderators promise not to say anything... my lips are sealed
