@Above - That is a good question . No one knows why , does anyone ?

even if they come up again with some vacancy they will not recruit 75-80 people out of 300. it will be merely 30-40 out of 4000.

3rd batch man the third batch got their calls last week.

I absolutely agree. those who got the call are bloody lucky coz it wasnt really hard from what ive heard. and the competition was cut down tremendously.

but then there were news about them conducting the exam in july or smthn..

well at this point of time, may or july doesn't matter much...what matters is that are they goin to conduct another exam or not. Guess the advertisement was yet another eyewash..

Theres a reason why JET AIRWAYS has postponed their second Round to June aka Fake Licences. DGCA is still working on the CPL list i guess and all these airlines are waiting for that to get over before they start any recruitment is what i strongly feel.

Theres no point hiring, going through the whole process and then finding out that the selected few have a few fakes in em'.

Therefore, Keep studying and work hard because when the exam call letter will come in your inbox, a max of 7-10 days would be available to prepare.

it was no eyewash.. i mean cmon guys..an ad like that is pretty expensive to take out in the leading news papaers. Besides why wud they want to 'fool' us. Its a private airline..can hire whoever it wants to whenever it wants to..doesnt need to give any explanation.

I think because of the whole fake pilot fiasco recruitment has been put on hold.

I still have hope.

well yeah I have kind of got some sort of indirect confirmation that the jet GD has been postponed mainly because of this whole fake pilot escapade. But then again it was a friend with jet told me so i cant be one hundered percent sure, but clearly the circumstances point to it.

well i think that the postponing of JET process isn't just because of this fake pilot fiasco. I have had a chance to tak to someone in the management of jet and they told me tht the decision to postpone the further rounds have come in the wake of previous batches not getting cleared out and they need some time to re-assess their procedure and work out the best possible solution so that they would not have to face the same situation (read last jet xam) again.

Once they work out things, they will start the process again and it is just a tentative time that they might start in july (still not confirmed).

And also if one was to believe that jet has stalled because of the fake pilots and if there is no point in hiring pilots and then to find out they are "fake", then what about Indigo who is still recruiting via CAE? And what about the guys which SJ has already sent to canada for Q400 TR?

So, I myself do not feel tht it has to do nethin with this scam. Lets see what future holds for us.

Exactly... I think jet is just taking the benefit of the scam... they really have to re-assess their procedure... because they have taken all KACHARA in & many better pilots were rejected in mental ability tests & GDs...

I don't know what makes you think Jet takes in all "KACHRA", but I know about a dozen of pilots who have got into jet and they were all above average or brilliant student pilots.

And those aptitude tests are a part of the "BATTERY TEST", its a norm for good selection procedures.

You should mind your language before making such comments.
I believe Jet airways has the best pilots in India, and to prove this further I know few people in Indigo & Spice Jet who I personally think were no better than most of us but they still got a job with those airlines.
Not saying that all Indigo and Spice Pilots are like that, but Jet definitely has the upper hand when it comes to quality of air crew.

Jet Airways also has the best training standards in India.
