I donot think that people have got their final call.....Vidur seems to have got an intimation mail from Sandra...Not the confirmation mail.

Hi Vidur, did the mail that you rcvd read some thing like below or something else.

Its not of course the confirmation mail, but sort of a re-confirmation mail which instructs you to reconfirm with their personnel that you desire to appear for the exam. But only a few people have got this sort of mail; the second one actually, not everyone (including me).

rwy07 14th Sep 2011 19:33

Email which i got from parul today

Dear Candidate,

You have been shortlisted for the upcoming exam in Sept 2011. In case of a no show please be advised that you will not be called for the test for a period of 3 months. To avoid depriving some other deserving candidate from appearing you are requested to kindly keep your appointment for this test by sending a confirmation email latest by 15th Sept 2011.Once we gets a confirmation from your end, you will be issued the hall ticket by with the test date and venue details.

Flybi 15th Sep 2011 03:26

@rwy07 can u confirm the date and time u received the email.....plz?

and guys keep posting whenever u get the confirmation mail.....

i just hope that they will send the emails today also........

beinghuman 15th Sep 2011 03:58

Yeh, I haven't got the confirmation email as well. It's a little to late to send the confirmation emails. I hope they do it latest by today. As far as I know, each batch has about 100 students approximately. This time, many students have been sent an email, I think not everyone will get a call for 21st / 22nd of September. May be, they might call the other half for the next batch. Let's wait and see. Today should be it.

The mail (from Parul) that has been posted by rwy07 seems framed as it is grammatically incorrect in a few places....If somebody could confirm it.....:confused:

indigo exam

can some one who has already given indigo exam before ,plz advice the level of numericals questions in the exam..............the question bank of indigo only contain theoretical question...................so plz also advice the percentage of numerical question in this exam..as well............
thanks

vmendes 15th Sep 2011 07:26

@aviatroz i gave the exam in june 2010.The numericals are fairly straightforward-direct formula substitution and there were not more than 5-6 numericals in the whole paper.Human performance was a very high level,arnd 20 q's

VOR cone of confusion...
Could anyone here please shed some light on how to go about these type of questions

Q)A/c flying at 20000ft enters cone of confusion of ICAO maintained VOR.
What is the diameter of the cone of confusion?
all sin cos tan values are given....

Also a few q's which i could get ans to from the Q bank are as follows:-

1)a/c with 2 static ports,one blocked,slips towards the blocked one..what will happen? overread,underead.

2)How to plot BTP on Ploar stereographic chart?? i mean whats the diff.
between it and mercator/lamberts?

3)What is hysterisis error of altimeter?

skybuster7 15th Sep 2011 08:37

1) cone of confusion for vor when directly overhead vor; assuming this

tan theta = opposite side (radius) / adajacent side(height)

here theta=50 deg and adajacent side = 20000ft we can get it in nm by dividing it by 6080=3.3nm

therefore oppositeside(radius)=3.3 ^ tan50 =3.93nm

therefore diameter=2^r=2^3.93=7.86nm

makes more sense when u see the actual picture

1)a/c with 2 static ports,one blocked,slips towards the blocked one..what will happen? overread,underead.
ans- overreads

not sure about the 2one

but 3)
hystersis error is lag error in altimeter

Flybi 15th Sep 2011 09:53

@vmendes

are you giving the upcoming september attempt?

Aviator_Prat 15th Sep 2011 10:05

AVIATROZ Instr Ques

Friction Less Gyro @ 30 N => ER Drift = 15 Sin30 =7.5 degs/hr (Dec)
I.e Lat Nut Correction at 30 N = 7.5 degs/hr (Inc)
@ 60 N ER Drift => 15 Sin60 = 12.99 degs/hr (Dec)
@ 60 N Westerly Hdg at 545 Kts => Transport Wander = (545/60)X(Tan 60)
= 15.7 Degs/Hr (Inc) [Because we are on a westerly hdg]

Hourly Drift at 60 N on a westerly heading at 545 Kts is
= 7.5 (Inc) -12.99 (Dec) + 15.7 (Inc) = 10.21 degs/Hr (INC)
After 80 Mins = 10.21X(80/60)= 13.61 Degs/80 mins

DI Reading after 80 mins = 270+13.61=283.61

Could someone be kind and share the question bank @ [email protected]??

Thanks

Flybi 15th Sep 2011 10:10
