@wing

IndiGo handles all paperwork, you dont pay anything.

bombayhues 23rd Aug 2011 10:21

@FlybyWire: With IndiGo the salary starts @ 75,000 pm (50hrs) + Overtime + Layover Allowance. This is the equation from the day you sign the LOA till 6 months after release when you are upgraded to a Co-Pilot from a Jr. Co-Pilot. A Co-Pilot gets: 1,75,000 pm (50hrs) + Overtime + Layover Allowance.

Dont know if IndiGo is the highest paying airline in the country or not but the above figures are absolutely accurate! :ok:

FlyByWire320 23rd Aug 2011 10:30

@bombayhues

Exactly, thats what i said.
The pay has been revised its 80000 now, and there is no overtime and layover allowance till the time you start your line training, so for the first 3-4 months u get 80K, and then once you are released on line you get overtime etc which comes to a total of 1.2-1.3 for the next 6 months. Then you will be taken for an Upgrade check with a TRI/TRE and if you pass you become a Co-pilot and then you start getting 1.75+overtime+layovers.

cyrilroy21 23rd Aug 2011 10:35

Does anyone know if IndiGo will let you do the type rating at CAE Bangalore instead of Madrid or Kuala Lumpur ?

FlyByWire320 23rd Aug 2011 10:53

No, CAE Bangalore is not an option. Its used for command training and for other IndiGo training purposes.

guitarboy 23rd Aug 2011 11:00

Whats the scene like after the Supy? As in does one just sit on the right seat and help the captain or get takeoffs and landings on every other route?

What is the Sim check like?
Take off , Engine Cut before/after V1, Landings, ILS ...?
What are the main things to do here?

Also, whats the upgrade check like? Landings and procedures? What could fail you here?

Thanks

cyrilroy21 23rd Aug 2011 11:18

@FlyByWire

Thank you very much and also thanks for the previous info provided regarding pay scales and such

Would have been nice if CAE Bangalore was an approved training centre as one could save money on accomodation and other miscellaneous expenses

Do you know where in India the ground classes are conducted after receiving the LOA ?

Another question
Do you fly for IndiGo ?

FlyByWire320 23rd Aug 2011 11:31

@ guitarboy and cyrilroy21

Ground classes are held in Gurgaon for a month, followed by systems and perf test at the end. Bases are alloted during the ground training itself.

If you pass the exams, you start supy immediately after ground classes, supy goes on fr around 15 days (30 sectors) then you sit home for a few days(15-20) waiting for your sims, you have to do 2-3 sim sessions with a TRI/TRE before you go for your base training/aircraft fam (Flying an empty A320, 3 circuits by day or night) with a TRE. Then you sart your line training which takes around 1 month followed by your line release/route check.

Sim check is quite easy, just 2 circuits, 1 normal and one with engine failiure at V1 but it varies from time to time.

EADI AND EHSI

Can anyone plz shed somelight on difference between eadi and ehsi.........
Thanks

yogesh.dhumale 23rd Aug 2011 13:00

eadi is your attitude indicator or also called as pfd primary flight display
ehsi is your horizontal situation indicator or also called as nd navigation display
e stands for electronic
basically in an ehsi u get all your navigation details, weather radar etc
whereas in an eadi you get your airplanes attitude information plus ils loc and gs both, also your airspeed , boeing and airbus also gives information about your altitude.
thatz it nothing great

koolchaos3188 23rd Aug 2011 19:06

@flybywire - you do 2 sim sessions, which is like a practice session for your base training.
and you don't do base training by day and night, its done in the night only which includes 3 t/o and ldgs.

when during your ground classes, does IndiGo provide you with Accomodation, food allowance, transportation etc etc

koolchaos3188 24th Aug 2011 05:49

yeah, during your ground classes, they make you stay in their service apartments which includes breakfast and dinner but not lunch, you get lunch only on weekends
