Stage three is a medical, ICAO English test and uniform fitting.

Joystick jokey 15th Jan 2015 02:26

Has anyone been invited for the first interview recently? If so when did you apply? :)

Natca 15th Jan 2015 03:40

The above is correct for a ae or cadet pilot only.... Also they removed uniform fitting apparently.

Pilot852 17th Jan 2015 01:14

Brian, the fact that you are here asking this ridiculous question indicates just how much you really want this. So do your folks a favour and don't waste their money.

Cathay Stage 2 on 2 Feb

Anyone Stage 2 on 2 Feb? We have 5 now. Please PM.

BlueEXO 17th Jan 2015 09:50

Hey guys, I've got an InitialA test coming up, and I'm abit confused, is this part of the 4 stages or is this before stage 1? And also, if I do pass this Initial AB, does it mean I will have to stay in Hong Kong for the other stages, and will there be lessons, like a school, we attend to or we just have to revise the stuff ourselves.
Thanks a lot

February 4 - Stage 2

Anyone have stage 2 on February 4?

Natca 17th Jan 2015 16:22

They interview 6 people every day for AE

andrewyan08 17th Jan 2015 20:55

Are the AE interviews being held in HK?

V1rhot8 18th Jan 2015 04:10

Six a day, with how many interview dates per month? 5 days a week?

fe_fkf 18th Jan 2015 06:53

Pilot 852

They refer to the interview stages for the cadet program. The whole process is:
Stage 1a
Stage 1b
Stage 2
Stage 3
Flight grading

I'm not sure if it is the same or not for AE or TT
For the stage 2, do anyone know if the followings are still included or could anyone share some details on it?

Group exercise (definitely yes), Flight Planning assessment (definitely yes), Professional Profile (=CPP personality test in stage 1b?), Aptitude test, and interview

Natca 18th Jan 2015 14:04

The ae process is what it always has been yes...

And no, they start ae interviews I think two or three times aweek and it seems 4 bunches of 5 tt guys a week

BlueEXO 20th Jan 2015 10:28

Do anyone know what are the chances of getting invited Again if you fail one of the stages.

Glidestar64 20th Jan 2015 14:37

Anybody has their final interview on 29/30th? (TT)?

PM me!

johnson717 21st Jan 2015 07:49

anyone is having 1a tomorrow?

Chapfo 21st Jan 2015 10:11

So if I wasnt a fit due to the results of the Personality test, they still wouldnt tell me the reason why I dont move on to Stage 2?

If my personality will never be a fit for CX, they'll still allow me to reapply every 12months, pay $2000 to fly to HK, spend a week there to do 1a+1b again, just to get declined to Stage 2 again?

Aspira 21st Jan 2015 17:04

Re Chapfo

Well, did you receive an email telling you to reapply after 12 months?
I also got rejected after stage 1b; I'm not sure if there's anything wrong with my personality. But the way I thought the interivew would be was totally wrong . I pictured the whole interview 2/3 technical side and 1/3 company background and turns out that I was wrong. So right after I walked out the interview I knew I studied the wrong thing and could've done a lot better.

As for the personality test, it's about your personality, but honestly I think personality can be changed throughout your course of life and correspondingly to your life experience. So I'm guessing that they'll give you a chance to improve?

BlueEXO 22nd Jan 2015 15:05

Can you tell me what to expect on the interviews please. I expect it to be mostly about the company and about yourself. Thanks

Natca 23rd Jan 2015 00:10

You got a long way to go, do some more reading and research.

Chapfo 23rd Jan 2015 03:39

RE: Aspira

throughout your course of life
That's what I'm referring to...
It's like at least an extra few years of one's life to change that. And that's in addition to the time and financial commitment every single time one thinks they're ready for the Personality test.

Btw, when you talked to Stage2 people during your 1a, didnt they tell you 1b interview was mostly non-tech?
