Hi,

1. Currently, based on my knowledge acquired from recent interviewees - aptitude is on the same day after the preliminary interview (for Singapore interviews).
2. 'Indiabix' is a resourceful site to practice various aptitude based tests.

Hope it helps and godspeed.

Cheers.

Thank you for your response!

Hi, thank you for the information.

May I check what are the aptitude based tests that are similar to the ones at SIA?

Regards

Good day all

May I check if anyone, who went for the preliminary interview on 20 Sep 19, did the aptitude test on the same day?

Cheers!

From various postings online it appears for Singapore recruitment upon passing the first interview you would proceed to aptitude stage immediately after, on the same day.

There were also sporadic instances where the test stations were fully occupied for the day and one would be told to come for the test on a later date.

Might be useful to brush up on vocabulary, arithmetic, multitasking, orientation. Bonus if you're good at Sudoku!

There are 10+ individual tests.

Hi bros,

I have just updated my application online but it didn't allow me to post my latest CV (in pdf). Instead, it carried over my old CV.

Is there any place I can update it or any email that I can email to?

Cannot find a clue. Many thanks for advice!

Cheers!

Hi Little Birdie

Thank you for the information.

Sounds like bad news to me then. :(

Anyone knows if there's an age limit to the cadet pilot program? Currently 33 and plan to apply - local Singaporean.

Most people say the 'unofficial' cut-off age is 32.

Good morning all

Unfortunately, I didn't make it for the preliminary interview and intend to try again.
May I check what is the 'cool off' period between applications? I have heard 3 months and also 6 months.

Regards

Hi,
There is a fellow cadet (Singaporean) - 34. However, what is the exact cut-off, I am unable to comment.

Cheers

Hi guys,
Just got an email from HR asking me to have another medical review with Dr. Faizal Wahid at Fullerton Heath on Saturday. Can i ask if anyone had the same email before? If yes, what happened after that? What review should i be expecting? Hope someone could help me on this.
Cheers

The review is possibly due to some findings during your initial medical exam, or some test results come back as borderline unacceptable to SIA standards, even if it passes the CAAS standards. The fact that SIA is asking for a review instead of outright rejection means whatever was flagged in your medical report is possibly something that may become an issue down the road like pre-diabetic blood sugar level, unless lifestyle changes are made now.

Having said that however, your mileage might vary. You know your own level of fitness better than anyone else. Only two possible outcomes here, the condition turns out to be something that you can't change then possibly end of the road, or physician clears you and you proceed with the program. I have heard many cadets who have had the review to successfully proceed with the program, and very few who couldn't meet SIA standards and their journey ended there.

By the way you might want to refrain from posting very specific details on where, when, and who as regards your medical review on the internet just to be safe.

Hi guys,

Anyone going for this coming prelim interview in KL for Nov 16/17? I would like to ask, does SG airline sponsor your flight ticket or do you have to bare the full travel cost? I read some forums saying that SG airline will pay for your flight ticket but that is for the 2nd interview in SG. Anyone went through this experience ?

danny95 17th Oct 2019 00:45

Are you based in Australia as suggested by your profile? I'm just assuming that you're going for the cadet interview, since you mentioned a 2nd interview.

From those that I've spoken to, it's only for direct entry candidates that they provide a flight ticket for. They don't provide transport for cadet interviews.
