Smile First Interview Help??

Anyone who can help,

I have an interview in March for the direct first officer program with CX. My interview is in Vancouver, I was curious if anyone knew if CX conducted these interview in the US and if so what cities. Also any information on the interview process would be appreciated. I have heard that there are a few books out that address the interview process at CX, if anyone knows where I can find them please let me know. I am aware of the recruitment ban, and am hoping that it is lifted by the time my interview runs it's course. Thank you in advance for any information that helps.

In the past year, initial North American Freighter FO interviews have either been held in Vancouver or New York City.

The usual prep material include:

(1) Preparing For Your Cathay Pacific Interview
(2) Handling The Big Jets

DHOONK (or anyone else for that matter).

I also have an upcoming interview with CX in March. I have been to Amazon.com. I'm unable to find the book you mentioned above: "Preparing For Your Cathay Pacific Interview". If anyone can find it on Amazon.com or any where else, it would be greatly appreciated if you would tell me how to find it.

Thanks a lot.

Out to Fly

If you do a bit of research within this forum, (Fragrant Harbour Wannabes), you will probably find most of what you are looking for, also, for information more than a month old search under just "Fragrant Harbour' forum.

Cheers, BE.

Snoop SO Interviews

okay

So here we go. Had my inital contact with CX via online resume in October of last year. Was sent out an application by November, and Interview date received Feb for April in NY.

Background: BAav Massey University (CAA) NZ
FAA: commercial, CFII, MEI
Flew for TWE flying Jetstream 4100 until 911.
Total 1300hrs with 400turbine
ATPL subjects FAA.

Thanks for all the help with the interview gouge. really excited and nervous at the same time. Can't afford to blow this, as no current flying job and no hope for the near future here in the States. So not really worried about this ALPA thing as its more about survial. Gota eat!!!

1500 hrs TT, 1300 B737NG in Major airline, ATPL theory. I'm getting sacked in May, so I'm with you all the way "out to fly". I really don't wanna blow this one.

Anybody knows what the first interview is about. Any help/hints is greatly appreciated.

Thanks...

I have an invitation in summer, but it is called "second officer initial interview"(I applied for a freighter pos.)
does anyone know if it is true that they decide AFTER the initial interview if you are suitable for f/o position,or is it worthless going there, since I am not interested in an s/o position.
anyone got the same problem?
any information appreciated
