Question DGCA Class 1 medical

So, I am 18 years old. Aspiring pilot!!
I want to make sure that my fitness is as required before I start my journey....
I got my Class II medical done, now I also want to do the Class I medical.

The procedure is confusing. 3 months back I applied for the appointment for ClassI Medical to DGCA, I have not heard back from DGCA. I called Nanavati Hospital directly one month back and they have given me an appointment.

The letter states that I have to live in Mumbai for 4-5 days for the tests and the cost is Rupees 12,000 (could be more, depending on additional tests). this is in addition to the DGCA official fees. So the travel cost to Mumbai+ stay+food + all the fees!!! Just want to make sure I am doing the right thing in going directly to Nanavati Hospital. IT is lot of travel and expense.

Please share your experience! Any suggestions to save time and money if possible.

Appreciate your replies! Thank you!!
