DGCA approved aircraft list
Can anyone comment on the implications of the recently released list of aircraft types approved by the DGCA for training? How will this affect the hundreds of Indian pilots training on aircraft that are not on the list?

We have just received Part 141 approval in the US. However we are using a BEECH 95 for our multi training and it is not on the list as approver. First, WHY? Second How do we get it approved?

@jbayfan
Could provide a link to the list of aircraft that you are talking about ?
@skysflys
For the Indian DGCA to approve it you will need an owner or operator in India to import it and get it registered here in India
I suggest you get aircraft that are already registered in india
Piper Seneca PA 34 is highly recommended as many of the flying clubs in India have them
Other options include DA-42NG , Beech Baron B-58 and G-58 , P68C
Very Limited options

Can anybody please confirm that for the issue of License and Rating, is DGCA specific about model as well for a particular type of Aircraft?
Like for example there are so many variants of P68 available, will DGCA obect if a student pilot does his/her recency or training on P68B ?? because in India,only P68C variant is available,registered and airworthy.
Are the rumours true that from now onwards, DGCA will issue License and Rating on only those aircraft who has a valid C of A?
Any information will be highly appreciated.
Thanks

Cyril, you didn't mention Baron B55. DGCA's active aircraft register shows that a B55 is active with Govt of Jharkhand. Or is this aircraft also not airworthy anymore?
I did my multi IR on Baron B55 in Australia. Planning on going back to Australia to do my recency on a B58. Should be ok you think?
