No one knows that for sure. Not even the officials.

25,000/- is considered to be the norm though.

Yes its Rs. 25,000:
CPL processing = 10,000
IR = 5,000
Multi = 5,000 (as a matter of fact any additional rating is 5,000 each)
FRTOL = 5,000

Hey maverick and cactus -

Isn't it 20,000? Thats what I was told.

CPL + single-engine endorsement = 5,000
FRTOL = 5,000
Multi-engine = 5,000
Instrument Rating = 5,000

It could be 20,000/-

But as I said, the babus at the DGCA office seem unclear about this rule.

"25,000 hazar to lagta hi hai, koi bhi rating le lo."
-Their exact words when I called.

You would probably get it issued by the 2nd week of July, considering those who submitted in March got their licences issued in June.

Mine was submitted on April 26th ... a friend of mine enquired about the status by going to the dgca office a week ago and was simply told "it will take a little more time"

They charge Rs.5000 for each rating..whether its a single engine CPL multi endorcement, FRTOL...its 5 Gs each...i myself payed Rs.15000 for a Multi CPL, Multi IR and an FRTOL...U dont have to pay 25000 if u dont want a Single Engine CPL and a Single engine IR...

Thats right. I paid 20,000 for a Multi-IR CPL with FRTOL. By law, a single-engine endorsement should be issued mandatorily with a CPL. Which means a CPL+single-engine endorsement is 5000 rupees. Then any additional rating is 5000 rupees each.

My application submitted on April 26th is finally showing "under process" on June 29th. That is a whopping 2 months just to start processing ! Guess I should be happy that at least they started
