Presentation or Interview - confusion
Guys, I have heard a lot about Stage 1 from here and the fact that there is a presentation for 5 minutes to test your English oral skills more than anything else.
But is there ALSO an interview? Can someone answer this please?

Hi,
is that on the same day then? What I mean is on the same day, you will find out your results for the initial 1a. And then be asked (i.e the afternoon) to stay behind for an interview?
Or is Stage 1a and 1b held on different days?

I'm in the same boat as a lot of people, I've been invited to stage one interviews in Sydney, and the email confirmation does not say anything about preparing for a presentation...so they haven't outlined what to expect on the day, the email just lists the documents to bring...can anyone confirm that it is still a requirement?...they don't just spring the topic up on the day do they?

Yes, this is really confusing and I would appreciate some more input from others.
If you go through the archive pages of this programme before, it says there is a 5 minute oral presentation which apparently is to judge your English skills. Hence the candidates were always told to prepare when they first got their confirmation call/email.
If no one has been told this information via email, then perhaps for us Canadians, Aussies obviously do not need to be tested on our English.
I would really appreciate some more opinions on this. What have people been told in their email. Does it mention anything about a presentation?
