Cathay Cadet applicants, Sydney 23rd July
New thread for fellow aussies to touch base to catch up on info and to talk shop. Also if any one is interested in catching up the day before for for a bit of a team talk

hey, i tried contacting the company but there doesn't seem to be much info out there aside from the actual Cathay site and rumors. Have you recieved the e-mail with additional info in it? Also does any one know any thing about what kinds of questions are asks in the initial interview is it very basic or intense?

Hi Guys
I applied for the Cadet program last Thursday the 9th of July. I haven't heard anything back from Cathay yet.
From my impressions in some other threads I have read, it seems that some people had to make the trip to HK for stage 1. Obviously it would be a great saving if I could do it in Sydney so my question is;
Is this interview coming up in Syd on the 22nd going to be the last for Sydney or are there plenty more to come?
Any advice please PM me

for them to send you email about doing stage 1 in syd, do u have to choose australia as the primary interviewing place and then nothing else in the secondary interviewing place??

Cathey application.
Sending the application for a direct hire position. There is a section for refrences from a Cathey Pacific employee. I don't know anyone who flies for Cathey. Will this hurt my chances in getting called for a interview?

For the Sydney interview, I applied online through the Cathay careers website and nominated Australia as my preferred location for interview. I applied about 3 weeks ago and attended the first interview last week. I have a few hours but no qualifications. I hope this helps.
