Is it True that SO's hours dont count?

I have read a few comments on this site that state that the hours you fly as a SO dont actually count towards your total hours.
Is this true?
If so, why wouldnt they count?
If i enter CX through the CXCP, make it through and am hired by CX, then fly three years as a SO.. my hours will be the same as when i left FTA??!!?!
Surely this cant be correct...

Almost true, you can log P2X but it worthless anywhere else in the world. I think you can count maxium 200 hours towards a ATPL, may have changed.
