Learning 747 systems / long haul vs short haul?

What's a good resource for learning the systems for the purposes of an interview? Same for the 340?

And what defines ultra long haul, long haul, medium and short?

Try this for the 744:

A340 was in the Capt xyz book (so was 744)
Would recommend looking at the 777-300ER though, as that is their latest a/c, quite a bit on the internet.

Never need that much fuel in the freighter. Far better to carry more freight ( which is heavier than people) and stop for fuel in Anchorage than to carry extra fuel and less revenue ( freight).

I have never even had a full centre tank on the freighter.
