Newbie: Need to know how long does it take CX,Dragon
Hi there folks.
First of all I thank everybody for posting here. It's been a great way to gather info on Cathay and Dragon Air.
In the 1st quarter of 2008 I will reach minimum requirements for both Dragon Air and Cathay Pacific pilot positions (F/O and/or 2nd Officer).
Anyway, one thing that I haven't found here is after sending the application form (let's say, 1100hrs 737 classic F/O, 3300TT piston..me!) I'd like to know the average time both Airlines are taking to call the candidates for a first interview process. I know this may differ depending on the candidates background history and type rated...I am guessing about 3 to 4 months then for a 2nd interview (CX only) around 6 months.
If they call in a shorter time frame I will reconsider sending the application next year only. Need time to do the homework. If anyone has been in such process please let me know how long it took for you. THanks.

Hope this reply is not too late...
They called me for the Initial interview 10 months after applying.
Second interview was one month after 1st.
Called one week after second interview to say I was successful.
Called one week later with starting date.
They seem to be picking up the pace wrt hiring...
