How to in HK
Hi to all,
I would like to ask you a simple how to fly in HK.
I completed my training in Switzerland with ATPL frozen and CPL/IR/MEP and hold a valid class I medical.
I love very much HK and of course Cathay pacific, but I know CX wants only experienced pilots .
Is there any other Company for not experienced pilots?
Is my JAR first class valid?
Have I to convert my licenses (both medical and flight crew)?
Thank you all for your kind answers.

CX you dont mention your total hours/experience, I am guessing very low??
I am not aware of any airline locally that would take someone with no t/prop or jet experience ( in rare cases guys with a few thousand hours piston have landed jobs , I think )
This could change in future with pilot shortage.
To convert your licence wont be easy, with little or no experience on t/props or jets, the HKCAD will make you do a truck load of exams, they are not overly hard as there are alot of " sample " exams going around, but time consuming, and expensive if self sponsored.
The above is based on experience by myself and others with Oz,NZ and FAA ATPLs
I believe CX have a cadet scheme?? but have no details of it.
Sorry could'nt be more help.
