I'm sure this has been done before but can't find the answers with the search function I'm afraid!

Talking about Cathay Pax routes only:

Is Taipai still the newest destination? If not, what is?
Which destination has the most frequent flights?
JFK-HK the longest trip Cathay has? About 16 hours?

Wheezy Child,

1. The newest destination/route is Shanghai from December last 2006. Type in "Shanghai" under the CX press room search page to find the article.

2. Taipei, A330's and B777's every hour... from memory (I think)

3. Yes, 16 hours 20mins as per Discovery magazine. It is longer on the return leg due to the headwinds experienced.

I believe there are about 108 flights a week to Taipei . . . 15 a day -- amazing!

Just discovered Busan, Korea as apparently starting in Jan 07. So I guess this is newer than Shanghai which was late 06.

If you want to be fussy, Busan is a KA destination not CX, even though CX own KA.
