Weather Study Materials

I've recently begun the arduous process of studying for the Cathay SO interview. I've managed to track down most of the necessary study material (HTBJ, BLR, Capts. X,Y,Z, etc.). The one subject on which I feel I would most likely show weakness is weather. A background of flying in the continental U.S. (not to mention studying in U.S. schools) has given me fairly little chance to learn monsoons and typhoons to the extent CX would like to see.

Does anybody here have a recommendation for study materials on tropical weather in SE Asia? Any other non-canonical study material that helped in the interview process? I've still got at least a year before I'll be talking to anyone in an interview, so I've got plenty of time to cram everything in.

Wx

All my Wx study has been done online. Typhoons, Moonsoons and ITCZ are all easy to come by. Try Wikepedia.

Don't forget the HR side of the interview. Not much point in being able to answer why a typhoon forms if you haven't got good answer to 'Why should we hire you' and the rest of the bound to be asked questions.

Enjoying the studying!

Thx

Thanks Druglord,

That is good to know.
Out of interest, how could you have a history of asthma but never had an attack?

Puts my mind to rest somewhat!
Please feel free to PM me to save the topic thread.

Cheers
