CX Interview Questions

Following are some questions I've gathered over the last few months....
enjoy:

1. Current aircraft weights, engines, ceilings
2. If you are on a Track, and need to deviate because of weather, what do you do, what other considerations would you have?
3. Weather map of Japan and Australia with several weather systems. Can a hurricane form between New Zealand and Australia?
4. Explain all three lines on the L over D Chart
5. Using a B747 model aircraft, explain Dutch Roll
6. Explain the yaw dampeners and why aircraft would have more then one
7. Explain EGPWS, what provides inputs
8. Indications of a warm front approaching
9. If overcast cirrostratus, what type of icing would you expect?
10. IAS vs. TAS in a climb – get bigger, lesser or same?
11. What do vortex generators do at low airspeed? How do they help?

95. When you get a fire warning, what do you do? (fly the airplane, identify, cancel warning, memory items, checklist)
96. What is higher at altitude, TAT or SAT?
97. If you fly into a cloud and the TAT is -47ºC do you need anti-ice?
98. How much notice would you need for a second interview?
99. What are your duties as a Second Officer?

12. Why or why not certain airlines?
13. Would you get bored flying with CX?
14. How does your wife feel about moving to Hong Kong?
15. How did they feel previously about living overseas?
16. What would you do if CX rejected you?
17. Did CX make a profit last year? How much?
18. How did you do in pilot training?
19. Where you disappointed in the last assignment you got?
20. Who do you know at CX?
21. How did you prepare for this interview?
22. Any questions for us?
23. What is your greatest weakness?

34. Know the shape of the countries CX fly to (they would show you drawings of counties and you need to tell what country it is)
35. Know the map of Asia
36. READ ON THE 49ers and CX
37. What would your wife say your biggest weakness is?
38. Why should we hire you
39. What life is like for you on your days off?
40. Tell us why CX
41. When is CX anniversary
42. Where are the North America Cargo Bases
43. Where are the North America PAX Bases
44. What is the Cargo Route Structure
45. What is the PX Route Structure
46. How many days a month would you expect to fly?
47. How long does a trip last?
48. Name some cities we fly to
49. CX is not really a Global Airline, what continent don’t we fly to?
50. Name three airlines you would like to work for, and why?
51. Where does CX rank and why?
52. What percentage of Honk Kong population is Chinese?
53. If you were to take your family on vacation to Hong Kong, when would you go?
