Any TP operators based in HKG

Having just qualified, now moving to HKG in Aug with wife & kids (wife moved by her employer). We have house and kids sorted and I will have an HKID. Are there any 'starter' or TP operators that will look at v.low time pilots with a JAR fATPL?

Yes, they are J41's but no it's highly unlikely that you would be employed.

well OASIS has taken on S/O 's with 250 hours so try them, also Air HK has taken low houred guys as F/O's! So u never know your luck. All u can do is get to HK, get the suit on and knock on doors. Also you should try HK express and HK Airlines, I know HK express has taken on low houred guys who did not make through the CX cadet scheme. Another option would be HK Aviation club and doing instructing up at Sek Kong, China is desperate for instructors aswell. If u want to stay in HK with your Mrs, get a foot in the door with anyone, take a job in ops with someone, try get a flying job that way, its worked for many people that way.

the goverment flying service J41's are strictly for locals

hope that helps

cheers FM

Thanks for that, just as I thought. So I'll just unpack my toothbrush, get the pc out and get applying, with the suit ready.

I was under the impression that there was little or no GA in HK now, anyone know more...
