I was just wondering if there are any new hires going through training(DEFO) and if so, when was you second interview. I was told to expect 3rd qtr of 2007 and I just want to get an idea if it may be earlier or later. Thanks

Hi there.. I had my second DEFO interview Dec 14-15, 2006 in HKG. They told me not to expect anything until end of 3rd, beginning of 4th quarter, 2007. However I have been told by some friends at CX that they were offered to start about 2 months prior to the said start date. When did you interview?

I interviewed in Sept 2006 for a Europe DEFO slot.
I was told to expect a 2nd quarter 2007 start during the interview but apparently it's more likely to become 3rd quarter...

Got a friend who interviewed in may 2006 and is starting in March, DEFO A340 AMS.

2nd DEFO interview in Oct 06 and told 3rd Qtr 07. One in my interview class already got a class for May...he was also told 3rd Qtr.

What about bases?

Anyone know what's going on with the bases? Aside from NYC, LAX, ANC, is ORD or ATL an option? What bases are most new joiners being assigned?

Are you going in for SO or FO? Depending on position I would imagine the training schedule and company need might be different. Just a thought...
