CX interview coming up.
If you have something in your medical history that doesn't exactly put your cookie at the top of the biscuit tin, what do you do about it? And how much of the medical history do they check anyway?

I just had an avmed (not with cathay) and they tested for:
reflexes
colour blindness
eyesight
Stigmitism and associated eye tests
Hearing and looking at the ear drums etc...
check for hernes!
electrodes on different bits of the body. ecg
blood test
urine test
listening to the beat of the heart..etc
and much more
cant remember anything else. but there is more. The doctor said that they are checkin for any lasting and non repairing injuries that may may affect your flying. I hope this helps. I had a shoulder injury that was quite serious and the doctor didnt seem too bothered.
Hope this helps.

Cathay's medical is very thorough. Discuss any concerns with the doctor when you do your second interview medical at Cathay City. Lying about medical history is grounds for immediate dismissal (as with most airlines), so I would recommend putting your best 'spin' on it, but not lying. If the doctor has any concerns about a specific problem, that are beyond their capacity for futher checkup, they'll request you go to a specialist (at your own cost).
Good luck and I hope it doesn't stop you getting in!
