HK Citizenship
Does anybody know how to get a hong kong citizenship, or will a work visa cover you for something like the CX cadet pilot program. I may seem naive right now, but ive actually researched it quite a bit, and have yet to find answers. I am Canadian, don't have any relatives in hong kong. Is there anyway the get a HK Permanent Resident Card??
Thanks

Work permit will get you a HK ID card. That allows you to stay and bring the family. After seven years you can apply for a permanent ID as long as you meet the requirements, which isn't difficult, this remains valid as long as you visit HK once every three years.
But I think CX require you to have right of abode before you can apply for the cadetship.

Good luck!

Demon Duck is correct. It's clearly specified that you need to be a Permanent Resident to apply to CCP. Even on the HK ID card, it will specifly, using codes, what resident status you have. If your parents were born in HK, you can probably get one as well. Otherwise you're out of luck.
