Math Test

If anyone can point me in the right direction on how to best prepare for the math test it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance...

Practice multiplying numbers in your head: 9 times 7, 8 times 7 ....etc...
Also do a few long divisions on paper: 12345 divided by 113 ...etc...
(if you remember how to!)

Just simple math to exercise your brain.
They seem to like percentages: 2500 minus 10%, then what is 10% of the result.....

That is all you can really do. The math part of the Qantas practice test is not bad either. There is a link to it somewhere on this forum.

Honestly, you need to spend most of your time studying aerodynamics/weather related questions.

Aerosurf,

I estimate that I answered approx 10 / 33 questions. Im not even sure that they were correct. I have a Maths degree and post grad qualifications in Maths. (maybe that was my problem !!)
Despite this, I was successful at the 2nd stage.

I agree with Captain GSR wholeheartedly. Dont stress the math test. I dont think it carries much weight. Focus on interview and sim.

Thanks Guys

Thanks for responding.... I can do the simple stuff, it's the algebraeic equations I was concerned about. It's been years...

I haven't put much time in on the math so perhaps I'm on the right track..
