In no particular order of events. Chnages for all groups.

Day 1
- Welcome briefing - give your paperwork to HR
- Group Exercise - pick the right astronaut with a group of people you just met, use your best CRM and consider being the guy that runs the board to organize the info
- Sim Briefing - self explanatory
- Math and Psych tests - sit at the computer and do your best
- Freighter briefing - details of how the freighter fleet works in regards to scheduling
- Basing Company Briefing - details of where/how your basing will work
- Drinks - the infamous cocktail party, hang out, drink soda water and mingle, the company types will be making the rounds, suits all the way - you don't work there yet

Day 2
- Sim Assessment - enjoy flying the 747
- Final Interview - self explanatory
- Medical - say ahhh
- English Test - an odd "test" that seemed more designed as a psych test, odd questions for an "English test", seems more to see if you are racist

HK is an easy train ride away

Cocktails and Dreams......

Dont be afraid to have a couple beers at the cocktail party...Sheesh!!! We are not trying out for the Vatican Altar Boys Club.

Like all things in aviation - moderation, be yourself, smile and enjoy the Hong Kong Experience.

Also the English test I believe to not really have a psychology component, it is a standard (or about to be) ICAO English test being introduced in 2008 that will require a pass to exercise the license. The "psych" questions are apparently there to guage a deeper understanding of the context than simple "what does that conversation mean"?" questions.

If you can have a convo in English - do not even worry about that test.

Goodluck to everyone going up.... They were very positive and well organised up there, seems like a great place to work.

AAPA,

Wear your BEST suit to the cocktail party and all other activities.

Yes take your partner and involve her/him at the party and briefings they give.

Yes you can stay extra days they actually encourage that, cost is $650 a night. Quite reasonable.

If you DO want to stay an extra night or two, book it early as the Headland fills up pretty quickly.

Journey time from the Headland to Central takes about 50 mins. 64 bus from outside the hotel will take you to Tung Chung MTR. The train is then around half an hour.
